Re-filming before christmas

On Sunday 16th December James and I went filming from Hampstead to Camden.

We started off at in Hampstead at 10am where we went to this small theatre to film the location and vox-pops if possible as well as to take pictures of the area for the blog. whilst filming the theatre a resident interrupted us be scream at us telling us to leave the area and how we cant film in that area. We managed to take a picture of the theatre as well as filming shots for the package. From there we found a small independent cinema and near the station, and decided to incorporate it into our news package.

We walked to Camden from Hampstead to film vox pops, along the way taking pictures of the area for our website as well as blog.

Opening Sequence Final

This is then fixed upload of the final opening sequence edit. After recieving feed back, the visuals was the main change. Keeping the footage up beat to the theme song and still keeping the graphical sphere was our main pripority. Researching exisitng title sequences: BBC, SKY News, we, as well as everyone else, missed the lack of original colour. Keeping to a certain colour scheme/pallet gave the same approach as contemporary news packages.

We feel our title sequence is a sucess due to the graphics, footage and original score we produced.

Surface Tablet

Microsoft Surface Tablet only comes with 23 GB out of 64 GB of storage space

Many anticipated the release of Microsoft latest advancement in technology, the Microsoft Tablet, a device capable of operating like any modern computer while having the versatility and being a handheld device, which can be carried anywhere. Due to be released on the 9th of February, the Surface is to have less than half of its advertised storage space due to pre-installed software from Microsoft, all this being confirmed by Microsoft themselves. This also happened with Microsoft`s release of the Surface RT back in 2012 when the actual storage space was half of what was advertised.

Banner and 'Press Red' complete

James here,

After designing multiple concept ideas for our banner and press red, using Adobe Photoshop, allowed me to produce a final product. Photoshop gave basic shapes appropriate for the simple visuals of which contemporary news packages use. The symbolic red circle has no need to be tinckered with as the audience instantly recognize. Text has to be bold and clear as the size with shrink when placed on the footage.

The banner again uses basic shape as well as the same colour scheme as the logo. Changing the opacity on the purple shapes, or pixels, gave a unique visual approach. The interviewers name will be placed on Adobe Premire.
